When Controla contacted us to help them redesign their brand, we were inspired by their pragmatic attitude. We started by designing the most essential components needed for the updated brand: a tone of voice, logotype, colour palette, typography, and visual elements such as emanata, small expressive marks that can add playful emphasis to images or text.
Next, we put the new brand elements to use by redesigning Controla’s digital platform and website. We put extra effort into balancing the serious nature of cybersecurity with a simple, friendly design language. For example, this meant adding occasional bursts of colour and energy from hand-drawn icons and emanata, small expressive marks that add playful emphasis to images or text.
With this updated brand, Controla can now use versatile elements to flex from serious to casual designs depending on context. We’re very happy to support them on their mission to help small companies take control of their cybersecurity.
