Blend is the most ambitious project we ever worked on at BlackBerry. Unlike other apps initiated by our team, this one turned into much more of a “serious business” project than, for example, Scrapbook or Express. Our original idea for Blend was that your mobile should be smart enough to let you to focus on just one device at a time. For example, if you are working on a computer, your mobile should send all important information to the screen you are already looking at. Today, Blend supports this and a lot more.
A unique aspect of Blend is that it works across different platforms, such as Windows, iOS and Android. No data is left behind on any computer or tablet that you connect to your BlackBerry device. Blend gives you the flexibility of cloud computing without the need to upload data to any servers. It has been very well received by BlackBerry users and media also recognises its strategic importance. We just wish there were something that would make that Dan person in the video smile at least once…
